Winter breake // taxi transfer
The castle is closed during our winter break (January 7, up to March 14, 2024). However, we offer 5 of our rooms/suites for guests who would like to spend some “alone time”. Arrival Friday and departure Sunday.
The price includes two nights' accommodation with a cake stand breakfast. Our restaurant, bistro and tower museum are closed.
Our reception is only open for check-in on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The luggage service is only available at check-in.
No room cleaning on Saturday
We can arrange a taxi for you to pick you up at the train station or KD boat stop in Oberwesel and bring you to our hotel when you know the exact arrival time. The price is about Euro 9,50 one way from the station and Euro 11,50 from the boat stop.

Arrangements to relax and enjoy
A small Riesling Journey - around the Middle Rhine Riesling -
A winemaker from Oberweseler takes you with his car from the castle on a ca. two hour Riesling journey for:
- Ride through the medieval town of Oberwesel to the picturesque Seven Virgins View
- Small introduction to the Middle Rhine winegrow including a glass of Riesling sparkling wine
- Rides through the vineyards with stunning views of the romantic Oberwesel for winery
- Winery tour followed by a tasting of four typical, delicious Riesling Rhine wines
To book for at least 2 persons with surcharge of Euro 70,00 per person added to the half board price, including selected wines of the menu.
Romantic Stay for Gourmets - culinary delights high above the Rhine -
Half a bottle of Riesling sparkling wine will be awaiting you in your room upon arrival.
In the evening you will enjoy a 5-course-Gourmet candlelight dinner including corresponding wines in the castle restaurant.
