Arrangements for relaxation and enjoyment



Winter weekend during our winter break (January 15th to March 14th, 2027)


We are normally closed during our winter break. However, we are offering 9 rooms/suites for guests who would like to enjoy some exclusive "solo time" – arrival is only possible on Friday between 10:00 and 18:00 and departure on Sunday by 12:00. Later arrivals or departures are unfortunately not possible. Our restaurants and the museum are closed, but we serve breakfast daily between 9:00 and 11:00 in our Rhine Lounge, and our castle garden is also open to you. During the day and in the evening, our Rhine Lounge offers a small selection of drinks for purchase, either for self-service or for socializing. Our luggage service is available until 18:00 on the day of arrival. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a luggage service on the day of departure. The price is for two nights with breakfast. There is no room cleaning on Saturday.


Gourmet Aperitif

 Treat yourself to three delicious canapés in our Schönburg wine tavern, accompanied by a 0.375l bottle of regional Riesling sparkling wine. Price: €49.50 per person

Wine tour (bookable for 2 or more people)

A master winemaker from Oberwesel will pick you up at the castle in his vehicle for an approximately two-hour wine tour including:

  • Drive through the medieval town of Oberwesel to the picturesque Seven Virgins Viewpoint
  • A brief introduction to viticulture in the Middle Rhine region, accompanied by a glass of Riesling sparkling wine.
  • Drive through the vineyards with magnificent views of romantic Oberwesel to the winery
  • Wine cellar tour followed by a tasting of four typical Riesling Rhine wines

Back at the castle, you will find:

  •  In the Schönburg wine taverns: Three appetizers, each paired with a corresponding wine.
  • At the Zum Mundschenk restaurant in Schönburg: main course and dessert of your choice from the à la carte menu plus a glass of red wine

Price:

  • Complete wine tour including both restaurants: €120.00 per person (wednesday till sonday)
  • Restaurant Schönburger Weinstuben only: €78.00 per person (wednesday till sonday)
  • Restaurant Zum Mundschenk only: €72.00 per person (daily)
