Whoever visits Schönburg discovers more than just historical walls and wide vistas – our castle bistro is a special place for connoisseurs, those seeking tranquility, and lovers of honest cuisine.

A Place with Atmosphere

Our bistro is located in the north wing of the castle and features a charming blend of historical elements. Bright walls, wooden details, and stylish decorations create an inviting, cozy atmosphere.

Inside, you can expect:

60 seats in the two upper dining rooms, many with a view of the Rhine.

Our terrace with approximately 40 seats directly overlooking the Rhine – perfect for sunny days and long summer evenings.

At the Burg Bistro, we serve you seasonal, regional cuisine with creative dishes.

We are pleased to inform you that we have redesigned the menu on our website! From now on, you will find not only current dishes but also appealing images that will whet your appetite. This way, you can already get a first impression at home – and maybe even discover your favorite dish.

Our opening hours

Wednesday to Sunday: open from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM

→ Kitchen from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Monday & Tuesday: open continuously from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM

→ Kitchen from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Whether for a relaxed lunch, a stylish dinner, or simply a glass of wine with a view – our Burg Bistro is always worth a visit.

In the mornings, we serve breakfast for our house guests from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

In October: Art meets Culinary – RHEIN!ROMANTIK?

In October 2025, our bistro will become an exhibition space!

RHEIN!ROMANTIK? is more than just an exhibition concept – it is an interactive art project that represents the romance of the Rhine in all its diversity and depth. Since 2019, regional artists have been showcasing works that engage with the historical and contemporary romance along the Rhine. Until 2029, changing exhibits will be presented at various locations along the Rhine.

In October, we will display a selection of these exhibits in our Burg Bistro – accompanied by readings on three Saturdays:
